- Quality in ICT Service Management
- Quality in ICT Requirements Engineering
- Quality in ICT Evolution
- Quality in Model Driven Engineering

- Quality in Mobile Engineering (merged into “Quality in Web and Mobile Engineering” track)
- ICT Quality and Business Intelligence (canceled)
Papers with the explicit purpose of promoting companies, services or products will not be accepted. We encourage the authors of papers with a more scientific flavor to take into account the applicability of their work in a company environment and the experience reports from companies to have an adequate scientific framework.
Paper submission and selection
Authors should submit to http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=quatic2012 a PDF version of their paper. Papers must be in IEEE format and not exceed 6 pages, including figures, references, and appendices. Papers must be written in English. Papers must not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
The paper selection process for this conference is innovative, in that it will be organized in three rounds, of increasing quality ratings.
In the first round, each submitted paper will have a blind review by at least 3 members of the respective Track Program Committee. Accepted papers will be included in the electronic proceedings of QUATIC’2012 published by Conference Publishing Services (CPS), submitted for archiving in the IEEE Digital Library, and submitted for indexing in ISI Web of Science, SCOPUS, ACM Portal, DBLP and DOI System. Inclusion in the proceedings is subject to the condition that the authors sign the IEEE copyright form and at least one of the authors registers for the conference until the early registration deadline.
In the second round, the authors of the 3 best papers in each Thematic Track will be invited to submit and extended version to the Main Track. If the latter becomes accepted there as well, the extended version will be published in the conference proceedings instead of the regular (track-only) one. Authors of these accepted extended papers will have the chance to present their work orally twice: one for the more focused audience in the scope of the corresponding Thematic Track and a second one in the scope of the Main Track for a much larger audience.
In the third round, authors of best papers presented in the Main Track will be invited to submit extended and improved versions to be published in a peer-reviewed journal. Besides that, during the closing session of QUATIC’2012, awards will be given to the best papers presented during the meeting.
Work-in-progress papers
Besides regular papers, a small number of work-in-progress (WIP) papers, up to 4 pages in length, may also be accepted in each Thematic Track. The goal of the WIP papers is to provide an opportunity to present preliminary results, new ideas or opinion statements, without the maturity and completion demands of a full paper, and promote discussion and collaboration with other researchers working in the same area. Except for the size limit and type of contribution expected, WIP papers follow the same submission, review and publication procedures and deadlines of regular papers. WIP papers should be submitted through the same EasyChair interface as regular papers, selecting the appropriate thematic track (any track displayed except the Industrial Track). WIP papers will be distinguished from regular papers based on the page size. Accepted WIP papers will be assigned a slot for oral presentation, possibly shorter than for regular papers. WIP papers are not eligible for the Main Track.
